The 30 deepwell gas pumps might be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
This is considered one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders thus far. It can be the second LNG fuel pump systems order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has placed with Svanehøj in the last yr. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to provide deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are heaps of indications that gross sales may improve even additional in 2022.
“Until a couple of years in the past, the usage of LNG as a marine gas was limited to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we are actually seeing a pointy improve in gasoline pump orders for deep sea vessels such as container ships and car carriers,” stated Johnny Houmann, chief sales officer at Svanehøj. “We were chosen as the supplier of fuel pump techniques for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we goal to increase our market share further within the coming years.”
